Privacy Policy

The short version

You can use the site without an account and without giving us anything. If you buy a Debt Cap, we use your name, address and contact details only to make, ship and support your order. We don't sell your information. The site shows ads from Google, which uses cookies as described below.

Browsing the site

• No accounts. The site itself doesn't set cookies or ask you to sign in.
• Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
• Security logs. Our hosting providers (Cloudflare and Railway) briefly keep standard request logs, such as IP addresses, to protect the site from abuse.
• Public data. Debt figures come from the U.S. Treasury's public data. Your browser fetches them directly from the Treasury.

Advertising

• We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and others. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of many third-party ad cookies at aboutads.info.

Buying a Debt Cap

• On this site: payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them. Stripe shares your name, email, phone and shipping address with us for your order.
• On eBay: eBay handles payment. eBay shares your name, shipping address and contact details with us for your order.
• Making and shipping: we send your name, shipping address, email and phone to Printful, which prints and ships your cap and sends you tracking.
• The number printed on your cap is the public national-debt figure at the moment you ordered. It isn't personal data.

What we keep, and for how long

Order records stay with Stripe, eBay and Printful, as each of them requires for accounting and tax law. Our own server doesn't keep a customer database. Order notifications we receive leave out names and street addresses.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what we have about you, to correct it, or to delete what we're able to delete (some records must be kept for tax law). Contact us at the address below.

Children

The site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
